How I’ll spend my Christmas vacation
Ok, I know i’m not big on Christmas, but this will be a worthwhile way to spend it:

That’s right, the cross country road trip is a go.
Not how I expected the season for the ‘Skins to start. Not at all. But I’ll take it.
I’ll take it with all the other oddities in the NFL. For instance, I’m in two Fantasy leagues, and right now I’m winning in my league with Brett Favre and not with Drew Brees. Oh, and I had Jamal Lewis benched on Sunday. It’s a crazy crazy league, but that’s what makes it fun to watch.
Anyway, that win is behind us, and on to the Giants next week, who I think we can take. After that the bye, and then the season gets really interesting. We have the Bears down the road, as well as the Patriots. Plus two Cowboys games. I think I’ll take the wins early where we can get them.
Hmm, that almost sounds like a personal problem.
Anyway, just a quick fire update.
First, the trip to Florida in October has been scrapped. (Did I mention that trip was happening?) The reasons for going fell through, so I bailed on the Sunshine State. After some conversing, and a ridiculously cheap change in flights, I’ll be heading to California instead. Looking forward to that, so long as it doesn’t freaking snow this time.
Saw “Shoot ‘Em Up” last weekend. Crazy action movie. Highly convenient plot, and story that was shaky, but who cares when it’s Clive Owen being a BAMF? Or Monica Bellucci being a hooker? Or Paul Giamatti being just plain nuts? The characters were great, and the action sequences left me giggling for hours. But that’s just how I get at action movies.
Finished BioShock this morning. Oh, backtrack a second - did I mention I got an XBox 360? Yeah, that was a month ago. Sheesh, I should do this more often. Cool as hell. If you’ve missed story driven FPS’s for a while, check this one out. You won’t be sorry. Especially since it’s more than just guns and explosions. Way more than that.
Pretty normal for the rest of things - Odyssey is on the virge of kicking into high gear and work’s busy as ever. The only anomalies on the horizon (other than CA) is a possibly cross country road trip. But that’s pretty iffy, so I’ll hold off on details.
Oh, I finally got down to coding and made a few updates to A2A today - first time I’ve written code in a while. Guess I should get used to it, there’s a bunch of DELCAPS updates I need to do. It was nice to get immersed in it again, however.
I’ve haven’t added it yet, but I will, I’ve been reading through the archives of a webcomic called “College Roommates from Hell!” which is a more apt title than you’d think. It’s rather addictive, and the storylines get darned involved. It’s taking a while to get through the archives though, since it started back in 1999.
Till next time, which will hopefully be soon.
It’s been a crazy busy vacation kind of week. I’ll probably get into it more later, but for now one image sums it up nicely. This is how much gas I burned yesterday:

That’s not altered, and it’s where the pump stopped.
