No, I wasn’t on vacation

I didn’t intend to take the month of July off from keeping the throngs of adoring fans I have informed about the goings on about FerretLand. It just worked out that way. The month started with Jury duty, continued with a really busy few weeks at work, and then the family all coming back together under one roof. It’s been… whirlwind, to say the least. However, I’ll catch you up on the important bits, in quick rapid fire format:

  • Nighthawk goes in Friday for the 60,000 Mile checkup. It’s a doozy of a price tag, too. But considering the beating I give to that car, it’s been handling it wonderfully.
  • I saw Transformers. Twice. It was a fun movie. Not great cinema, but I haven’t been that giddy over effects since… well, 300, at least, and I think this was light years ahead of that. It was kinda like the feeling of watching the Matrix the first time. And still made you want to get up and cheer.
  • Saw the Simpsons Movie. Funny as hell.
  • Saw Bourne Ultimatum. Liked the story, loved the action. A little skeptical on some bits, but it wasn’t that big a deal to keep the suspension of disbelief.
  • Read Harry Potter Books 6 and 7. Loved both. Was very pleased with the way things turned out. I’m currently revisiting the older books, cause I want to watch things again knowing what I know now.
  • I’ll probably post more in depth stuff as I find time. This month might slow down a bit. But even the slow times seem pretty fast these days…
