Remember that plane that had the gear the wrong way?

You may remember footage a few weeks ago of a JetBlue plane landing with it’s nose gear perpendicular to the runway. Well, thanks to the magic of the Internet, there’s pictures of the aftermath. I know everyone got off the plane ok, but still - that’s a fucked up plane.

Lost Episode 3 (of season 2)

Gee, here’s a shocker. The answers we get lead to more questions. There were a few pluses.
Warning, Spoilers ahead. (See Heather, that’s a spoiler warning)

  • Michelle Rodriquez finally showed up. Even if she is evil.
  • More of Locke’s back story. Yay. Don’t care. I just wanna know what happened to his legs.
  • No insignia laden sharks.
  • Hurley is the man. First, the fat guy finds the food. Trust me, being a fat guy, it’s true. That’s the first thing I would hone in on after being stranded on an island for a month and a half. Then he is the only one that has the guts enough to see what happens when the numbers don’t go in.
  • Unless the island is rigged with the largest WMD ever, there’s nothing there that would destroy the whole world. Unless its tied in with the nuke systems in the US, Russia, and China. Even then, it’d be tough to take out the whole world, since they’re targeted to other places. Granted there’s a lot of fun to be had with Electromagnetism in extremely large quantities (just look up the Philadelphia Experiment) but not enough to destroy the world.

Anyway, my interest, while waning a tad from having to wait a week for each new plot point (I crammed all of season 1 into a weekend. Kept it fresh and interesting), still goes on. Besides, from the previews of next week, Kate’s gonna be in nothing much more than a towel. Who’d want to miss that?

Yup, it’s Fall all right

It’s not the cooler temperatures, or the color of the trees changing that’s the proof to me. It’s the fact that I haven’t needed sunglasses in three days straight. It’s been foggy and rainy for three straight days. Now, I’m sure the sun pokes out every now and then, but its prolly long after I’ve crashed.

However, with this Fall, I’ve noticed something a little different. There’ s a few more neighbors this year. And not the kind that bring you stuff:

and a few of:

have moved into the yard. Mrs. Spider also left one of these:

next to the garage.

I don’t recall having so many bugs running around, but maybe I wasn’t paying attention. Could be worse, anyway. Could be a swarm of Locusts.

One minor update

So I’m kinda liking this random pic/color scheme thing. Problem is, I have a finite number of images that would really be suitable in that space. While I’ll add them as I come across them, I thought i’d give other people a chance to post their favs. If I like the image, and can do something with it, you may just get your pic up here.

Yet another photoshop contest that will make Dr. Pepper shoot out of your nose

Even though work was crap tonight, this got me a moments rest and a few laughs.
