Ain’t I a stinker.

Yes, its been a while. Hey, I’ve been busy. Still am. Feel lucky you’re getting this now :)

I had a good Christmas. Got some really neat stuff. Also gave away some neat stuff (just see Liz’s blog.) However, I don’t think what I gave her topped the train set parts I got Sydney, or the Farting Teddy Bear. Don’t believe me? See this. I think the most unexpected thing was the signed first issue of Liberty Meadows for my dad. I think it was more unexpected because of all the forethought that had to go into it. I’m normally a last minute kind of guy.

What else new is there? Hmm. Lots of time to cover. I meant to comment on a few movies I saw, but I’ll keep it brief:

Casino Royale - better than I expected, and left with with a little hope that one of my favorite heroes isn’t riding off into the sunset just yet.

Deja Vu: Denzel is the Man. I had a little problem with some of the temporal mechanics, but in general it was pretty good.

The Fountain: Holy fucking shit this movie sucked. Great potential squandered in trying to be too damn smart.

Other stuff:

Nighthawk goes in Friday for its 40k mile checkup. They add up quickly.

If you’ve never been, you owe it to yourself to see the Brandywine River Museum. It’s not big, but it’s jam packed of with great art and a killer model train room. (It’s a group of sets that literally take up an entire room.) Was up there on Friday, and by pure luck happened to get a tour docented by the artist’s granddaughter. It was quite a learning experience.

Anyway, I’ll try to keep more up to date. At least I’m making some updates as opposed to throwing in the towel. But with a possible New Years bash on the horizon, and my trip to LA, and then the Odyssey season hitting full gear, I’m not gonna make any promises.
