I think I hit all the requirements

I think I hit every possible requirement for a great weekend this time around. Where last weekend none of them were hit, this weekend I’m pretty sure everything was covered (In no particular order of importance, or the order in which they occurred):

  1. Drunkenness. (Not necessarily my own)
  2. Seeing a great movie with friends.
  3. Cute girls in bikinis.
  4. Good party.

See, I really am a pretty simple guy. Sure, a Lego convention or comic-con would be cool, but they would be just to satisfy my own geekiness. I think its rarer that I hang out with a large group of friends.

Of course, there were a few added bonuses this weekend. The movie was Superman Returns. I’ll post a full review of it later. I don’t want to do it now, cause it’ll have too many spoilers for those that haven’t seen it, and I want to see it again. Oh, come to think of its, there’s two entires under that requirement. We watched Shaun of the Dead on demand last night, well, it may have been this morning, after we returned home. That was pretty cool too. And damn funny.

Other bonuses: colorful incendiary devices. The fact that the attendees of the aforementioned party were lots of old buds from high school I hadn’t seen in a while. 24 hours or more of total sleep.

Actually, come to think of it, I nearly had the perfect weekend for an Overnighter. Stayed up all day Friday, and crashed Friday night. Slept 12ish hours, and got up mid-morning Saturday. Did the movies, the party, then stayed up here till nearly 6 AM, and got another 12 hours of sleep. So basically off and on Schedule in two days. Still won’t work for football season, but it’ll work in general. Besides, since I was up at 5:30, I’ll prolly be zonked in the morning, and keep on this early up pattern. That way I may be up for festivities on the 4th. I don’t think I’ve seen a fireworks show since I started on Overnights. Well, at least not on the 4th of July.

The only downside to this weekend where all requirements are met? Having to go back to work. No matter how much fun a weekend is, they’re all too short.
